The PC Gaming Race brand is all about building performance products with the features that gamers care about. Their mice are no exception. The Model D gaming mouse builds on the reputation established by the Model O and adds an ergonomically optimized option to their lightweight lineup. Sorry, lefties. Right-handers, rejoice!
Weighing in at 68 grams (for the matte finish options, more on this later), the Model D is one of the lightest mice on the market. The mouse also comes with multiple sets of G-Skates virgin PTFE mouse feet so that you can customize your glide. Add in PC Gaming Race’s Ascended Cord cable to complete your quest for a weightless mouse experience.
Since gamers and RGB lights go together like peanut butter and jelly, you get those, too (the RGBs, not the PB&J). The lights can be adjusted on the mouse itself without the need for software or drivers. The LEDs inside the body create an attractive underlighting that makes the honeycomb body design shine. If you want to take full control over the RGB LED programming, Glorious offers free software to do the job (PC only as of this writing). The software also allows you to remap the mouse’s buttons, adjust DPI, and modify a host of other parameters.
The Glorious Model D comes in matte black and matte white at the $50 base price. You can go glossy black or white for an extra $10. This adds a gram to the weight and also changes the feel of the mouse. If you want an even smaller, even lighter mouse in the same shape, check out the Model D-. It has all of the same features as the bigger body, but weighs in at just 61 grams (that’s 2.2 ounces) in base trim. This makes it perfect for smaller-handed users or just those who will stop at nothing for the lightest possible mouse.
Finally, the Model D Wireless is PCGR’s newest mouse. They cut the cable and added just one gram to the weight for connectivity features. They upgraded switches to a new proprietary version rated at 80 million clicks. They also upgraded the sensor to their BAMF sensor developed in conjunction with Pixart. This allows for a maximum DPI of 19,000 and a max tracking speed of 400 IPS. All of this comes with 71 hours of battery life and USB 2.0 connectivity when you want it or need to recharge. The Model D Wireless is available in matte black or matte white and can be yours for just $80.
